All I have to say is "Amazing!" It has the best atmosphere and it's very family friendly. They have a very diverse menu so you have a lot to choose, anywhere from vegetarian dishes, lamb and fresh seafood specials to a nice kids menu. The desserts are delicious! Especially their Galactobouriko and Kataifi Ekmek. Definitely recommend it!

This restaurant has a truly very comfortable and family friendly atmosphere. The chefs/owners also come out to the tables and talks to their customers. Their food is amazing! I been searching for a real good greek restaurant for a long time. Especially one greek restaurant, where all their food is homemade. I got a chance to meet the grandmother, I believe her name is Essi (not sure how to spell it) but she does alot of the homemade food. She was a very delightful little old lady. I really dont have a favorite dish at Athens because i cant just pick one. I love their dolmades, mousaka, pastichio, Salmon, And all of theri lamb dishes. The "taste of athens" is a great meal to get if you are very hungry and you cant make up your mind on what to order. I try to go at least 2 times a week to eat with my family. My kids and wife really enjoy it!

I must say that Athens on 86th is one of the best Greek restaurants that i have eaten at. Everything they serve is so nice and fresh. It makes your mouth water. My favorite dish would have to be the mousaka. They also offer a variety of specials for lunch and dinner. My favorite thing to eat there for lunch (its hard to chose) would have to be the Grecian Grouper and their Specialty Salad. Now for dinner, i don't even know where to begin. I just absolutely enjoy everything there. I must say their Lamb Avgolemono and Lamb Twin Fileto specials are to die for!!! And of course their fish specials are out of this world. One thing i always have to get when i go there is the Athens fries- fresh cut fries, with sprinkled feta cheese on top and their homemade Greek dressing. Yummy! I would recommend to try somethign different every time you go because their menu is so big and they have such a variety of things that you will be amazed on how good and fresh everything is!
