In his late teens and early 20's, Fred experienced two awakenings. One was his passion to run his own business rather than working for others. The second was a love for physical fitness (about a half century before it hit the rest of the country). Both of these proved to be lifetime obsessions, despite never making more than an average living he pursed his obsessions. This could easily be traced to his total commitment to the members of his gymnasium. Even with hundreds of clients, Fred had encyclopedic knowledge of each one. He knew their starting weight along with last year's, last month's and last week's...observing the resultant change in self-esteem and overall progress. His son Gary commented: "My dad did the greatest thing you could possibly do for another human being. He helped them help themselves through hard work and determined effort. Then he didn't try to take the credit himself. It was extraordinary and all my life I've had people come up to me telling me just how much my dad meant to them. What a legacy!"

Carter is amazing. He makes you feel so welcome and will spend as much time with you as you need. he is very knowledgeable and makes the whole experience what it should be, FUN! buying jewelry shouldn't be stuffy, he makes sure you enjoy your time spent at the store and your purchase when you leave

This beautiful store is located on Lake Front property but it's the people that make the entire experience so much fun and easy! Every single person at Hofmeister is so pleasant to work with.
If you're looking for up-front, honest and friendly people to help you Hofmeister Personal Jewelers is the only place you need to even think about!

The name says it all--Hofmeister Personal Jewelers. The people there make an effort to get to know their customers. The employees are warm, friendly and helpful. I have done business with this company for nearly 30 years! I have my own ideas about what I like, and they work with me to create pieces that are not only beautiful and unique, but have great sentimental value. My jewelry from Hofmeister Personal Jewelers reflects many special memories in my life. I also applaud this company for more than their jewelry. They are a company of character. I especially appreciate Carter Hofmeister's vision to see the potential of people who are not often likely candidates for employment in an upscale jewelry store. My daughter, who has high-functioning autism, has been a productive employee at Hofmeister Personal Jewelers for 4 years. Her work is respected and appreciated, and she has been welcomed and accepted by her co-workers. It doesn't get more personal than that! Hofmeister Personal Jewelers--a company with heart!

Hofmeister was the first place that I could find with a genuine and helpful staff. I found them 12 years ago and wouldn't think of going anywhere else.
