An independent bookshop for lovers of mystery and suspense, serving Indiana and the nation since 2003. In partnership with The Crum Creek Press, we also publish our own books and reprint books that "died" in vain.
As a store we specialize in offering a wide variety of mystery titles that go beyond the bestsellers. Customers enjoy our discount program as well as our informative newsletter which offers the occasional book review and showcases upcoming events. Our events include author signings, book discussions, and more. If you can't make it to our store, please enjoy free shipping which we offer to any address in the United States.

Jim Huang, of The Mystery Company, is a knowledgeable expert in his field. He works tirelessly to bring in Mystery writers and local writers for workshops. Nearly every weekend there is an event at the store. For people who love to hear writers talk about their books, their research, or their craft, this store is a must.

This is a terrific book store for mystery lovers!
They will help you cheerfully, and also order any books they don't have. They have authors visit, and do signings. They also have book discussions once a month! What a great local business! Much more interesting than a large chain. Come visit, you'll love it too!!!!

I have never left the store without an arm full of books. Jim has never suggested a book I didn't love.

Anyone interested in Mystery Novels, you've just discovered the place. I discovered it a few years ago. Mystery Company at Carmel handles them all, including other books, and the owner is so gracious and helpful. I recently attended a book signing at the store and was very impressed at the professional, yet welcome and comfortable atmosphere, the entire evening.

I love The Mystery Company bookstore. I visited Indianapolis last April and one of the stops I made was to the store. Great selection of mysteries and very knowledgeable owner who recommended several authors who were new to me. Congratulations to Jim for winning all 3 awards for which he was nominated at the recent Bouchercon conference! Well deserved!

I love mystery books and The Mystery Company is the only one I know of in the Indianapolis area.
