In regards to MomWhoKnowsAbtSports, your info is inaccurate. Both the youth and junior squads got to recompete on the 2nd day of competition. All teams that go to Florida compete on both Saturday and Sunday regardless of their rank from Saturday's competition. Secondly, it sounds to me like CheerMom2008 is a parent who is happy with the cheer program at Champion All-Stars. And lastly, do your homework when finding a gym that is right for you. What is right for one child might not be right for the next child. You can't go by one negative, or one positive comment when deciding which gym to join. The best advice is to talk to those who "currently" attend the facility you are interested in rather than talking to someone who has left the facility. Obviously, if someone left a facility they most likely aren't going to have nice things to say about the facility. Use your gut instinct when you visit the facility, only you as a parent know what is best for your child!!!

Champion All-Stars is a great facility for learning the skills needed to be a great cheerleader/tumbler and making new friends. My child has learned alot about cheerleading and made a ton of new friends. The cheerleaders all seem to get along well with each other. Every gym will have its ups and downs, but on a whole Champion is very well run. There are a great group of ladies who run the booster club and keep the parents informed and offer lots of fundraising opportunities. The owner has an open door policy to discuss any issues and takes pride in running her gym with dignity and class. Regarding the one comment about how the teams placed that went to Florida, SO WHAT!! The girls don't cheer just to "win". They cheer because they LOVE IT!! You win some, you lose some. Hundreds of gyms went to Florida to UCA nationals, and only a small percentage of those won national titles. That doesn't make those gyms any less worthy, it just wasn't their year to bring home the title. It's sad that a disgruntled parent has to get online and try to cause troubles for this gym. If a person isn't happy with Champion, then by all means go to another gym, but don't try to ruin the reputation of the gym because of your unhappiness. There are those of us who are pleased with the gym regardless of how the teams placed in Florida. The gym owner, coaches and girls all learned from this experience and had FUN which is what cheerleading is all about!!!
