I have taken my saxophones there for 35 years & would never dream of going anyplace else. The Oldam's are great and always have wonderful staff. They are very straight forward in their diagnoses and clearly lay out your options.

I'm not much on "trendy" but I love Nicky Blaine's. Any place I can sit and enjoy a cigar while quaffing my favorite adult beverage is a good thing.

I've been to every brewpub in Indy and Oaken Barrel has the best beer (Broadripple a close second). Their food is outstanding & reasonably priced. I occasionally get together with a group of friends from the northside and they always want to meet at Oaken Barrel.

There can't be a better beer selection in Indy. The place is just comfortable and homey.

This place is beautiful & unique but I can't believe the Indiana Roof Ballroom wasn't on the list.

Quite simply my favorite Chinese lunch for the money. Yen Ching runs a close second. PF Chang's is excellent but a little pricey compared to the other two.

Still my favorite pizza in town. They still use the same ovens they used when they opened the business in the '50s. We used to order Maria's pizza and watch Sammy Terry on Friday nights when I was a kid.

A former Dog 'N'Suds that's been owned by the same family since at least the early '60s. Best root beer in Indy. Very good tenderloins & onion rings.
