The seafood is fabulous here, and if you like to cook it yourself, they have a fish market at the back of the restaurant. Fabulous!

I used to listen mostly in the car, and used the Smooth Jazz station to wake up to. I used to have trouble waking up to NPR, but after trying other stations, I'd rather be late for work!

Of course, the steak is fantastic, but the house salad is really special. I had their french onion soup so many years ago, that I always thought other places were doing it wrong. The flavors are marvelous, and their mixed drinks are generous. The portions are reasonable, so you don't really have to feel too guilty about not cleaning your plate.

LaHacienda, Carmel is my absolute *fave* for lunch! The portions are actually lunch sized, and lunch priced. The flavor can't be beat, and the service is prompt. I've heard that the burritos are excellent, but my favorite is the chiles relleno. Scoop up the filling with their perfect chips and you too can enjoy a little piece of heaven.
