Nominated for: BEST FM Radio Station
You'll hear musical genres from A to Z. In an hour you might hear a cut from a soundtrack, an aria by Pavarotti, electronic from Brian Eno, something from Joan Baez, fine pickin' by Flatt and Scruggs, a new track from Margot and the Nuclear So and So's, Hogeye Navvy or Cathy Morris, followed by blues from Yank Rachell and something from John Lennon, or maybe Nina Simone.
The possibilities are endless, of course, but most radio doesn't go there. WITT will, and all in the open air, which by the way is the name of our music mixes...There will be programs for kids and teens, public affairs and news programs. WITT will give you the microphone sometimes.

I listen all day every day at work. Great mix of ALL styles and eras of music, along with comedy bits, classic radio shows, local talent and international news. (And no commercials!) True audio art!

WITT 91.9 is the most amazing and delightful phenomenon to hit Indianapolis in the past decade. You never know what you are going to get, but whatever it is, it will be INTERESTING. WITT plays music from all cultures, all genres, all periods of time, and always in an unpredictable order. It doesn't get any better than this! Thanks so much WITT for existing!

Terrific line-up, where else can you hear klezmer followed by Cat Stevens, followed by Bob & Ray, celtic, an aria, etc. etc.

OK, some of what they play is awful. But so much of it is awesome. Every time I listen I hear something I've never heard before. Often I'll hear something great that I hadn't heard in decades. Eclectic is absolutely the applicable word.
